FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Food & Staples
Do we get all of our food & drinks delivered at once?

YES! We will deliver all your pre-made meals, groceries & alcohol all in the one convenient delivery.

Do you offer mid charter provisions?

If you are travelling for longer than 7 days, you may wish to think about splitting your order into two orders, to allow for a Mid Charter Re-Provision. You will be required to return to your charter base OR Hamilton Island Marina to collect the Mid-Charter Re-Provisions.

PLEASE NOTE: Storage on bareboats can be limited for pantry, fridge or freezer items, please be mindful of this when placing your order.

Please email us if you wish to discuss Mid Charter Re-Provisioning.

Is the food cooked & ready to serve?
  • Most of our pre-made meals are pre-cooked and just need re-heating. Some may need a quick flash on the BBQ or similar. Instructions are on the product pages and also supplied with your order.

All meals have been designed around the options available in your galley (kitchen). They are either re-heated on the stove top, oven or BBQ.
Are any of the foods provided frozen?
  • Yes – nearly everything can be provided frozen to ensure you have fresh meals to thaw throughout your charter, or fresh and ready to use the first few night.

Our warm weather also means that defrosting the items for that day’s meals takes no time at all and will be perfect for eating/cooking. We will provide you with defrosting tips in your delivery documents pack.
Do I need to order kitchen essentials (oil, salt, pepper, seasonings, food wraps) or cleaning items (aka sponges, scourers, detergent, toilet paper) ect?
  • Each Charter company provides different kitchen essential items and different cleaning items for your charter. We strongly encourage you check with your charter company regarding inclusions. Please note Whitsunday Provisioning does not currently offer a kitchen essentials or cleaning items package and these items are not included in any of our meal selections or onboard provisions. If you require these items, please place an order with one of our GROCERY suppliers.
Water & Alcohol
Do we need to buy bottled water?
  • In our warm Whitsundays weather, you tend to drink a lot of water. Anywhere from 1.5 to 2 litres per person, per day. Each bareboat has onboard water tanks that you will use for all your daily needs eg showers, toilets, sinks. This water is suitable for drinking. However many people prefer to buy bottled water – it’s a personal choice.

Jubilee Pocket Friendly Grocer sell various sizes of water. We recommend purchasing larger cartons of water & bringing along your own refillable water bottle to reduce the amount of plastic onboard.

We can chill or freeze your water to assist in keeping your fridge/freezer/esky’s cool. We don’t recommend chilling or freezing the 10L water.
  • Be aware that party ice and block ice available at the marina has a short life in the esky. We sell 10kg super blocks with a core temperature of -22c which will last 5-7 days in a well managed esky.
Can we ONLY order alcohol from Whitsunday Provisioning?

Yes. Please note that due to liquor licensing, we are unable to deliver alcohol purchased from another supplier. You can directly order alcohol from local bottle shops, however we cannot deliver them with your provisions order.

I want to order a specific alcohol that you don’t offer. Can I place a special order?
  • Absolutely! Select the option “Special Order” & let us know what you would like to order & how much. Please note that we will need a minimum of 7 days notice for special items & they are non-refundable.
Dietary Requirements
Important Information regarding Dietary Requirements

Our meal packages are designed to provide a streamlined and stress-free onboard catering experience.

To maintain consistency, food safety and efficient preparation, meal packages are not individually customised for multiple dietary preferences within the same order.

For guests with severe allergies, complex dietary requirements, or multiple customised meal requests, we recommend supplementing your order with individual grocery items or contacting our team prior to ordering to discuss options.

Please note: our kitchen handles gluten, dairy, nuts, seafood, onion, garlic and other allergens, therefore we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Please note if you place an order and mention a dietary requirement in the box on checkout, we may be in touch for more information. Additional fees may apply if customisation is required.

Ordering
When is the best time to place my order for provisioning?
  • Preferably we would like 7 days or more notice (minimum of 5 days). This timing allows us to order products specifically for your holiday. This is especially important for your produce as we want to provide you with the freshest market produce so it will be perfect for your entire Whitsundays holiday.

Please note that grocery orders must be delivered to 42 Stewart Drive, Shop 18, Cannonvale the DAY BEFORE you require delivery to your vessel. This allows us time to check, chill, prepare & pack your entire order prior to delivering to you at your berth.
What happens once I complete & pay for my order?
  • For grocery orders, you will receive a confirmation email directly from Jubilee Pocket Friendly Grocer, FISHI or The Prickly Pineapple. We will email you once we receive your pre-made meal & alcohol order, to confirm the booking. We will then liaise with your Charter company to confirm the vessel you will be chartering and the date and time of delivery.

We may contact you to discuss delivery time, especially if you are having a ‘sleep aboard’ the night before your charter commences. Then there’s nothing more for you to do, but wait for your holiday to commence!

The day before your delivery we contact your Charter company to confirm the berth number of your vessel so we know where you will be.
What if I need to change my order after I’ve paid for it?
  • We will do our best to make the changes you require, but it will depend on how close it is to the delivery date.
Please email or phone us if you wish to make changes to your order.
What if I need to cancel my order?
  • Please refer to our Refund Policy
